Advanced Class Available

As a new academy we are still learning and developing our processes. In general, we should always be critically examining our habits and interactions with the goal of consistent improvement over time. This is how we mature, and ideally this practice is maintained throughout our lives.

During the first month of instruction, I realized that there was not any time dedicated to the development of my own growth. The study of BJJ does not end when one earns a black belt — a black belt signifies the beginning of a lifelong dedication to the art.

Furthermore, independent study is not reserved for black belts. Even beginners can take interest in certain topics, or look to close specific holes in their game.

For this reason I decided to convert the Tuesday/Thursday evening adult class into an advanced class. The format will be less structured than the fundamentals classes on MWF. Come to class with something you’d like to practice or study, warm up, and then grab a partner and go! All adults are welcome (including beginners), and feel free to bring either gi or no gi attire. I will always be available to answer questions and troubleshoot, but keep in mind that instructors also need to practice!
